Sneak Peak...Rodney and Julie Owen Family

Here is another Sneak Peak from the second session I had on Sunday. This family happens to be related to me. Meet my Uncle Rodney and Aunt Julie. Then, of course my two cousins Pierce and Piper. They live here in Lubbock with me, which is so great to have family so close. Rodney is my Dad's younger brother. Pierce is a junior in high school and a mean linebacker for the Cooper Pirates. Watch out...he will knock the wind outta you! Piper just entered into her teen years and has become quite the beauty! I have to say she has taken after her Mom. She is also a pretty good photographer....the picture of me at the top of this blog (yeah she took that). More to come soon...Sneak Peak...Stephanie McKee Family

Here are a few from one of my shoots from Sunday afternoon. Stephanie McKee (one of my former co-workers) called me up and asked if I was available to photograph her family. I was honored that she asked! We were going to head to a park close to her home, but since the weather was chilly we opted for the indoors since there were two young girls that didn't need to be out in the elements. I had a great time with her and her family. More to come later...Sunday, September 20, 2009
Courtney Stanley and Shane Kitchens Wedding

Here is the complete blog post for the wedding of Courtney Stanley and Shane Kitchens (updated October 2nd). They were married on September 12th at the Windmill Ranch Preserve in Snyder, Texas. Even though it rained, it sure was lovely and made everything very lush. This was also my first wedding to have a "First Sight" and I have to say it was the BEST THING EVER!!!!! There was no stress other than trying to get the boys ready. Haha! I loved it! The reception went smoother and I almost didn't know what to do with myself. I had a chance to get to know Courtney a little bit last year at my brother's wedding, who also got married out at the Windmill Ranch. She is such a fun, sweet, outgoing girl and not to mention amazingly beautiful. She is SO photogenic. Courtney's Mother made me a gorgeous necklace and earrings and I have to say WOW. She did a fantastic job. I wasn't expecting that at all! It was incredibly thoughtful! Thank you so very much! Shane's Mother was also so gracious to me. I wish I had a little more time to talk with her. She was working so hard when I arrived and didn't get dressed up until the last minute. I know she was exhausted as was the whole family. I enjoyed working alongside the Stanley's and Kitchens' for this monumental event.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Shane Kitchens!!!
Thanks for letting me capture the first moments of your new life together!
